Consists of the reconstruction of Cleveland Avenue from Como Avenue in Saint Paul to Larpenteur Avenue in Falcon Heights. \n2) Como Lake Subwatershed Management (35 Minutes)\nDescription: See the west side of the Golf Course and hear about recent best management practices (BMPs)\, monitoring efforts\, BMP Operation and Maintenance\, and flood management all within Como Park. \n3) Springboard for the Arts (35 Minutes)\nDescription: Springboard for the Arts proposes to capture and treat runoff from the 0.6-acre site with a stormwater treatment system that includes a rain garden\, pervious pavement\, enhanced lawn space with infiltration capability\, and an exterior rainwater harvesting tank. \n4) Allianz Field (35 Minutes)\nDescription: Completed in spring 2019\, the soccer stadium uses reclaimed water from rooftop runoff to irrigate the three-quarter-acre park north of the stadium\, site trees\, and other green spaces. Upon full reconstruction of the entire site and connections to the comprehensive rainwater capture and reuse system\, upwards of two million gallons of water per year can be conserved. \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn more about the birds and plants found at Willow Reserve (capitolregionwd.org/projects/willow-reserve) in Saint Paul’s North End neighborhood! \nWillow Reserve is a 23-acre urban oasis with wetlands that provide excellent habitats for birds\, frogs\, and other wildlife. The wetlands are a critical stopover point for migratory birds following the Mississippi River Flyway. Past DNR surveys have identified 36 different bird species in the reserve! Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD) has worked to restore Willow Reserve and add native plants that help improve water quality while providing habitat for pollinators and other wildlife. \nThis free\, family-friendly event includes: \nGuided birding tours with the Urban Bird Collective to observe the birds in the Reserve. No experience is needed. Come check out our feathery neighbors! \nPlant identification walks with CRWD staff. \nParking is located on the side streets of Arundel and Virginia Street. \nWe hope to see you there!
