Regulatory Technician

Capitol Region Watershed District seeks a full-time Regulatory Technician to perform entry-level and technical duties related to the review, approval, construction, inspection, and operation of urban stormwater best management practices (BMPs) in the District. This position supports the Regulatory Division in implementing and enforcing CRWD Rules to protect the water resources of the District. The Technician will assist in the permit application and plan review for new development and redevelopment projects requiring CRWD permits. The Technician will also perform inspection of active construction sites to ensure compliance with erosion and sediment control requirements and proper construction and function of permanent stormwater BMPs.

Right Track WaterCorps Internship

 Part-Time, Limited Term

Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD) seeks two Right Track WaterCorps interns who are interested in learning more about careers in watershed management.  The interns will be exposed to all elements of CRWD’s work during their nine weeks of employment.  Activities will include assisting with water quality monitoring, clean water project and permit site inspections, communications, and community engagement.  The interns will report to the Communications and Engagement Division Manager.

2024 Right Track WaterCorps Position Description PDF

Water Resource Technician

Full-time temporary (seasonal)

Capitol Region Watershed District seeks a full-time, temporary (seasonal) Water Resource Technician to assist with stormwater monitoring and other data collection of the Capitol Region Watershed District. The individual responsibilities will include: assist with the installation, operation and maintenance of monitoring equipment, record and store data collected from monitoring program, and assist with monitoring and inspection of the District stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs). Applicants seeking an Associate or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in the field of Water Resources, Earth Science, Natural Resources, Civil Engineering, or related field are preferred. $19/hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

This position does include paid holidays, but no additional benefits or paid time off. This position is eligible to receive Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST), according to State and local laws, and will accrue 1 hour of ESST for every 30 hours worked. The selected candidate will be required to comply with all provisions of the CRWD employee handbook.
