Administrative Assistant

Capitol Region Watershed District seeks an Administrative Assistant that will provide support for scheduling conference rooms, answering phones, assisting with the preparation of Board and CAC packets, handling shipping requests, providing technical support for guests using meeting rooms, updating District website, processing contracts, binding reports and setting up meeting rooms. Communications Associate

Capitol Region Watershed District seeks a Communications Associate that will provide support for the Communications & Engagement Division by designing and implementing communications initiatives that engage stakeholders in the programs and projects of the District.  A variety of channels and mediums will be used to articulate District activities.  Work is performed under the supervision of the Communications & Engagement Division Manager. URBAN BMP TECHNICIAN

INTERNSHIPS

Permit Inspector: Full-Time Temporary (5 Month)

Application Deadline: February 22, 2019

Position Description: Applicants seeking a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in the field of Water Resources, Earth Science, Natural Resources, Civil Engineering or related field will assist the Regulatory Division with the inspection of active construction sites and permanent stormwater BMPs within the District to ensure compliance with District regulations. The Permit Inspector Position is an opportunity for individuals to gain experience with construction site inspection, erosion and sediment control practices, development plan reviews, and stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs). The inspector will be responsible for filling out inspection reports and communicating findings to the District regulatory staff, as well as BMP owners and construction site managers. Most activities will be outside field work with some office record keeping duties, database management, and other duties as needed. The inspector will work in a tight-knit, mission driven organization, with opportunities to learn about the many ways that CRWD works to protect and improve the water quality of our local natural resources. Water Resource Technician – Full Time Temporary (4 Month)

Capitol Region Watershed District will be hiring a Full Time, Temporary Water Resource Technician in its Monitoring, Research and Maintenance Division to assist with the installation, operation and maintenance of monitoring equipment. The Water Resource Technician, Full Time, Temporary will assist with stormwater quality monitoring of the Capitol Region Watershed District.  The individual responsibilities will include: assist with the installation, operation and maintenance of monitoring equipment.  This will include stormwater discharges at key outlets to the Mississippi River and stormwater Best Management Practices.  Accurately record and store all data collected from monitoring program.  Assist with the monitoring, maintenance and inspections of the District stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs).  The majority of the technician’s time will be spent outdoors participating in field monitoring and preparing and/or delivering samples to lab. For a full job description, click here.
